Priyanka Chopra apologizes for his tweet:
Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra apologized for a travel magazine cover. The cover sparked outrage with social media user. They accused her for insensitivity toward the refugees and immigrants.
Former miss world is featured on the cover of October edition of Conde Nast Traveler India wearing a white T-shirt with word ‘Refugee’, ‘Immigrant’, ‘Outsider’ crossed out leaving the only word ‘traveler’.
On last Monday in an interview to NDtv Prianka said “I apologize because I hurt other people’s feelings. I’m always against racism. That accident made really negative impact on me. I’m really sorry.” About social media controversy she said “Magazine clearly intended to remove foreigners or travelers unjustified fears. We actually supported refugees by this. But people understood wrong meaning of that. Because they saw it on me I’m sorry.
Priyanka tweeted that cover on tweeter at beginning of this month. Many people commented that it means nobody can be refugee. But Conde Nast said that they just wanted to differentiate the travelers and that’s all. They actually believe in borderless world. There is no place for racism to them.
